Visit the J2ski forums...they are bloody great! From wearing dresses on the slopes to dressing up in leather chaps, or is Mr W will have his own way making it a family affair!

I stumbled across these forums last year when the ifyouski website got dull and the skiclub website forum got put out to pasture.

Bit of brown nosing to Admin, but you do a bloody good job!

Wickers, Snowbandit, oldandy, andyhull, and many many more you are such a laugh.

Over and above the laughing there is also the very knowledgble likes of Trencher and Cem - what happened to Pavelski?

The website is the top of my list everytime I log on.

Keep up the good work, I hope i dont (maybe i hope i do if the truth be known), see grown men in dresses on the slopes and english peeps in chaps when I am skiing in January!!

Thank you Iceman .....
I like this place because we can have a laugh and take the p*** sometimes but there is always a wealth of good quality info and advice available whenever anyone wants to know something.
Adders - I will echo Icemans words as you do do a great job - and are very succesful in defusing the odd little bit of turbulence :D
And ....
I had never even heard of Niederau until coming here - now I feel I know the place so well ..
And ...
Without the great reviews from TonyH and Wickers (I think) I wouldn't be looking forward to going to Serre Chevalier next year.
And .....
I never knew the wearing of helmets whilst skiing was a contentious issue
Keep up the good work everyone.

The forum area is getting better but wish more people would join and reply to posts....but...omg....j2ski keep posting wrong data on the amount of snow in resorts which is such ashame and very misleading when it appears on twitter and facebook!

examples -

Murren has 30cm they say !!
http://www.j2ski.com/snow_forecast/Switzerland/Murren_snow_report.html

Grindelwald has 25cm.. they say
http://www.j2ski.com/snow_forecast/Switzerland/Grindelwald_snow_report.html

Wengen has 30cm..they say
http://www.j2ski.com/snow_forecast/Switzerland/Wengen_snow_report.html

In fact just Switzerland alone it states over 50 resorts have snow...i wish, then i would be happy

Chris - the snow reports are correct.
Murren - High = 30cm, that's the Jungfraujoch I presume??? really high up.
Tignes is 55cm "High" - this is between 3000m and 3480m, low it says zero which is correct and only glacier runs open.

oldAndy

The Jungfraujoch far above Wengen (not Mürren) has much much more snow than 30cm at 3454m high which consists on mostly a glacier.

Currently the highest point above Mürren is the Schilthorn at 2970m high and sadly no snow on it.

I could go on and on with facts but the main fact is the data is totally wrong that j2ski are pushing out on social media

I have a confession to you all.

I have to travel to distant countries where there is little snow and much turmoil ! Internet is "monitored" so I sneak unto this site in my quiet moments!

Like you I rate this site as one of the top three in the cyber world due to;
-well administered site
-smart, smart and polite skiers
-excellent blend of context and marketing!

I happen to be a fanatic skier, so am involved in the ski business ( not to make money) but to discover new experience !

Let me share one with you I just had !

A local ski shop decided to introduce in shop a ski simulation ( Dave Mac,,,not a ski stimulation) system ! The technicians were all from Russia thus could not speak the local dialect ! Since I speak Russian I acted as translator on one condition. I had to try unit first !

The future of skiing with this "cyber" world is here ! Not like true skiing, but you can get amazing ski feel,,before the ski season begins!

If you want to know how ski boots with flex index of 130 feel go on machine for 15 minutes, then change to boots with a flex of 100 ! You will know right away!

The unit I tested also had 3D glasses! All that was missing was the cold wind, some snowflakes and that smell!!!!!

The unit is called Sky tech!

Now if I can only find a rich skier to allow me to install it in his home !!!

PS If any of you come over the pond,,,please contact me via PM would love to let you try some FATS (powder skis). Have 10 pair which I am testing !

Finally,
I am preparing another Pavel Quiz Contest which will be unique and very challenging since prize will be a $100 Swix waxing iron donated from the company ! Prepare !

I love this website too, particularly at this time of year (obviously), when everyone is getting excited about their holibobs.

Think I've been on here for around3 years now, getting close to 1000 posts. Its my mission to make that before I next ski :)
