Has anyone tasted the delights of each. I would be interested in any comparison insights!

Stayed in both, skied both.

St Gervais is a traditional resort town, with lots of classic buildings. When I was last there, a Spa was available at a lovely old Hotel. Skiing is available on the Mont Blanc/Les Houches side and also from Bettex up towards Megeve. Mostly easy pistes, to suit clients needs. Plenty of wooded pistes on Bettex side.

Memories of Morzine are that it's quite spread out, good jump in point for PdS, mostly easy pistes in immediate vicinity,, some steeper stuff up around Avoriaz, which has the draw of the Swiss Wall, which I've skied. Morzine/Les Gets has nice wood lined slopes.

Ending up driving to Prodains quite a lot, for quicker access to the system.

Live in Morzine and have skied St Gervais a few times.

What sort of skiing/atmosphere are you looking for?

St Gervais is generally going to be quieter particularly around holiday periods. If we compare full StGervais/Megeve/Courmayer pass with full portes de soleil pass (assuming you will want this option?)in many ways the skiing is comparable in terms of difficulty (beginners and intermediates will love it, experts will find some fun stuff if they are up for exploring). Both quite large areas (450km vs 650km approx) so plenty to ski!

Plenty of tree lined skiing at both. Both got a nice atmosphere - St Gervais a pretty grand spa time, quite unique I felt. Morzine a more typical alpine, wooden chalets feel. Morzine nightlife is going to be busier.
