Quick one but difficult one I guess. Group of 12 male friends looking for good ski and apres ski, mainly focusing on activities such as toboganning, night skiing, bowling and also hitting the bars. First year was Ischgl, then St. Anton. Looking also for something not far from Munich aiport. I know..!! We want everything. SOlden looks far, Mayrhofen looks a pain in the xxx to wait for the gondola in the mornings, Soll looks too low (and probably too booringm Kitzbuhel too low too 8and probably too much of a city) so Can anyone help and advice about these 4 or any other you may wish to recommend? THANKS A MILLION.

For distances from Munich to the ski resorts, look on the J2ski page:

http://www.j2ski.com/ski_resorts/Airports/Munich.html

Do check the travel times for yourself, as there are some errors, but it is a good start point.

Best place I am aware of for night skiing is Hinterglemm, but that is about a 4 hour drive.

I havent been to Soll or Kitz because of concerns over snow coverage, although many will tell you theres more snow on average than the top of Everest.....
Mayrhofen CAN be a pain to get up the gondola if you go up at the wrong time, but if you're there just after 8 you wont wait more than 2 minutes for a gondola. Leave it another hour and you wont be up before 10.30. Its up to you.
Solden is high, and its somewhere I like the look of myself. Apres is supposed to be good.
You ought to look at Ischgl or St Anton as well, although you might want to consider flights to Friedrichshafen or Innsbruck as an option.

Thanks guys. Ischgl and St.Anton been there done that so not an option. Checked Seefeld and it is very close to what we wanted, but way too small. After doing quite some research found Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis like a very interesting option. Great ski, height, quite some things to do (night ski, toboganning, curling, etc) I assume some nice apres ski bars... Solden is another interesting option but 1h further than Serfaus...

Too low in February?

Also bare in mind you're right in the middle of the European school holidays so being close to airport/city will guarantee the slopes will be packed.

And how about the Kitzbühel Alps? With the "Skiwelt"-Card you can use 279 km of well prepared pistes. The slopes can be artificial snowed, so don't care about the altitude... There are more than 70 ski huts, aprés ski bars and restaurants beside the slopes, in the towns there are even more!
The towns of the Skiwelt (for example Söll, Ellmau, Brixen or Kirchberg) are just 150 km of Munich and 80 km of Salzburg and Innsbruck away!

If you prefer even more slopes to conquer, you can use the AllStarCard of the Kitzbühel Alps. This skipas is valid in 10 different ski areas in Tyrol and Salzburg. You have 1.087 km to ride! :-)

In the Kitzbühel Alps you have many opportunities to aprés ski, tobogganing, curling, night skiing, night tobogganing...)
