Bear Creek

Bear Creek Mountain Resort & Conference Center features 330 wooded acres offering skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing during the winter and hiking, biking, fishing and boating summertime activities. Renamed Bear Creek Ski and Recreation Area for winter 1999-2000 after 17 years as Doe Mountain under the ownership of Bill and Brenda Buzbee. The resort's new owners upgraded the snowmaking, snowboarding and demolished then rebuilt base lodge facilities, the hotel and other facilities by 2004. More recently renamed Bear Creek Mountain Resort, the mountain offers something for every level of skier or rider, from an expanded beginner area complete with a carpet lift and triple chair, to Sasquatch, the most challenging black diamond trail with a 50% slope.
