A tiny settlement over the mountain from Arabba and formerly one of the best bases for summer skiing on the Marmolada glacier. However summer skiing ended in 2005. Part of the Dolomiti Superski Region and linked to the Sella Ronda.

Marmolada

The Italian ski resort of Marmolada is part of the Dolomiti Superski Area with access to 668 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Marmolada itself (15 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dolomiti Superski ski resorts of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Alta Badia, Alta Pusteria, Arabba, Bruneck-Kronplatz, Cortina d`Ampezzo, Corvara, Obereggen, Predazzo, San Martino di Castrozza, San Vito di Cadore, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme, Valle Isarco and Zoldo Alto.

With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Snowmaking :- Marmolada is able to augment natural snow, on 6km of ski runs,.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 8 Ski Lifts of Marmolada are able to uplift 7,341 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are two airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Marmolada are perfectly feasible.
