Bruneck-Kronplatz (Dolomiti Superski), Italy (935m to 2275m)

One of Italy's larger ski regions and part of the larger still Dolomiti Superski pass, with more than a dozen towns and villages linked on to the huge Plan de Corones ski mountain. Bruneck / Brunico is one of the few large towns to be found in skiing areas and thus offers the range of facilities which others can only dream of. The skiing on the Plan de Corones is accessed through Riscone above.

Bruneck-Kronplatz

The Italian ski resort of Bruneck-Kronplatz is part of the Dolomiti Superski Area with access to 668 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Bruneck-Kronplatz itself (44 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dolomiti Superski ski resorts of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Alta Badia, Alta Pusteria, Arabba, Cortina d`Ampezzo, Corvara, Marmolada, Obereggen, Predazzo, San Martino di Castrozza, San Vito di Cadore, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme, Valle Isarco and Zoldo Alto.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Bruneck-Kronplatz is able to augment natural snow, on 105km of ski runs, with 1264 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 34 Ski Lifts of Bruneck-Kronplatz are able to uplift 63,900 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are two airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Bruneck-Kronplatz are perfectly feasible. Bolzano Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Snowboarding in Bruneck-Kronplatz

Plan de Corones has a half-pipe with FIS dimensions located at the bottom end of the Plateau slope on the Valdaora side. The pipe is 100 metres of length, 15 metres in width from wall to wall and has a height of 3.5 metres and an average incline of 18 - 20°. The half-pipe has competition dimensions and was used for the FIS Snowboard World Cup Finals in 1999. The facilities, outside competitions, are available for all snowboard enthusiasts
