Bichlbach, Austria (1075m to 1640m)

The Almkopfbahn (right next to the Fernpass main road) is Bichlbach’s access to the skiing above Berwang. Up at 1,610 metres on the Hochalm you reach the skiing on Sonnalm from the other side.

Bichlbach is also part if the larger Zugspitz Arena which links (by ski bus and a joint ticket) more than 150km (95 miles) of runs shared between half a dozen ski areas above seven villages in the area. More than 50 lifts are included on the ticket.

Beginners will particularly enjoy Bichlbach's skiing led by Penguin BOBO, who uses particularly playful means to bring children's skills to the fore. The ski school meets at the Sonnbichlift and the ski school meeting place.
