On a good day the view of the Zugspitze mountain is truly spectacular. The ski region itself is well spread out (the various parts are not- lift-linked). Another 10 resorts on the Austro-German border are included. Après ski is informal, normally centred on the cable car station and various bars.

Lermoos

The Austrian ski resort of Lermoos is part of the Zugspitz Arena Ski Area with access to 30 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Lermoos itself (30km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zugspitz Arena ski resorts of Berwang and Ehrwald.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Lermoos is able to augment natural snow, on 12km of ski runs, with 15 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 9 Ski Lifts of Lermoos are able to uplift 12,500 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Lermoos are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
