Ehrwald (Zugspitz Arena), Austria (1000m to 2965m)

Ehrwald has two local ski areas - the Ehwalder Alm and the Wettersteinbahnen-Sonnennang. The local glacier skiing is reached by bus or car and cable car from this picturesque village on the German border. There are numerous other small skiing areas nearby, offering a combined total of around 200km in trails on the Pass.

Ehrwald

The Austrian ski resort of Ehrwald is part of the Zugspitz Arena Ski Area with access to 30 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Ehrwald itself (21 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zugspitz Arena ski resorts of Berwang and Lermoos.

With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Snowmaking :- Ehrwald is able to augment natural snow, on 20km of ski runs, with 113 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 24 Ski Lifts of Ehrwald are able to uplift 22,743 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Ehrwald are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Snowboarding in Ehrwald

Half Pipe and terrain park on the Ehrwalder Alm and on the Platt of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein. The Better Park is located on the Ehrwalder Alm.
