Berwang (Zugspitz Arena), Austria (1340m to 1740m)

The 40 km (25 miles) of piste that links Bichlbach over the Hochalm to the Sonnalmbahn is protected by snow making. Hands free access to all lifts is possible with Key-Card lift ticketing.

Besides the downhill piste there’s 20km of cross country trails, an illuminated toboggan run, ice-skating and winter hiking.

Berwang

The Austrian ski resort of Berwang is part of the Zugspitz Arena Ski Area with access to 30 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Berwang itself (40km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zugspitz Arena ski resorts of Ehrwald and Lermoos.

Snowmaking :- Berwang is able to augment natural snow, with 12 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 14 Ski Lifts of Berwang are able to uplift 20,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Berwang are perfectly feasible.
