The Italian Ski Resort of Trafoi am Ortler is part of the Ortler Skiarena area with access to 297km185 miles of downhill skiing, with 123 marked pistes, served by a total of 79 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Trafoi am Ortler itself (10km6 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ortler Skiarena ski resorts of Haideralm, Latsch Tarscheralm, Maseben, Mendel Ruffrè, Meran 2000, Pfelders, Reinswald, Rittner Horn, Schnalstal, Schöneben, Schwemmalm, Sulden am Ortler, Vigiljoch, Watles and Minschuns.

The ski resort itself is at 1,600m5,249ft, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,550m8,366ft, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.
