This charming resort is located near the famous Ortler peak, providing stunning mountain views and well-groomed pistes. With over 50 kilometers of ski runs, it caters to beginners and advanced skiers alike.

The ski area of Trafoi am Ortler is in the Italian Alps at an altitude of 1,600m 5,249ft , with 10km 6 miles of marked runs.

Trafoi am Ortler is part of the Ortler Skiarena area with access to 123 marked pistes, served by a total of 79 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Trafoi am Ortler itself ( 10km 6 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ortler Skiarena ski resorts of Haideralm, Latsch Tarscheralm, Maseben, Mendel Ruffrè, Meran 2000, Pfelders, Reinswald, Rittner Horn, Schnalstal, Schöneben, Schwemmalm, Sulden am Ortler, Vigiljoch and Watles.

The ski resort itself is at 1,600m 5,249ft , so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 2,550m 8,366ft , skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

The longest possible descent in Trafoi am Ortler is 4km 2 miles long and the most difficult run is the 'Scholmental', which is 2km 1 miles in length.

The resort is situated at the base of the Ortler mountain range, with an elevation of 1,550 meters. Key ski areas include the Trafoi ski area, featuring notable pistes such as the black run 'Schwarz' and reliable lifts like the Trafoi cable car, which whisks you quickly up to the slopes.

Trafoi am Ortler offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Trafoi am Ortler is Bolzano, 103 minutes drive away.

Innsbruck Airport, St. Gallen-Altenrhein and Verona airports are all within three hours drive.

To reach Trafoi am Ortler, the nearest major airport is Bolzano, about 90 km away. From there, you can easily drive or use public transport to access the resort.
