Madonna di Campiglio transfer issue

Hello All

I'm planning to go wiht the family to MdC at Feb half term. Never been , looking forward.

I'm trying to be clever with saving money in flightsm, and if I fly friday - friday I save many ££'s vs sat- sat. problem is, hotels and transfer service (Fly2Ski?) onkly operate on a sat-sat basis. BUT it still makes financial sense ( to me) to fly fri-fri, possibly lose a day's skiing and pay the extra for a private transfer each way. The sticking point is where to stay that friday night. There are cheap places at bergamo airport but we are arriving in the am, and wd rather get moving to make use of that day so we have a short distance to travel on sat am to give us time to sort skis, passes and possibly get some skiing in. can anyone recommend / suggest a town within 30 / 45 mins of MdC that is going to have a hotel that doesn't run on ski season prices (and / or min stay rules) for that week? so far have either been told no one night stays or been quoted silly prices (700 euros a night) - though this was probably too close to MdC (Pinzolo I think).
