Gartenhotel Daxer is a three-star hotel located just above Zell am See. First opened in 1962, this family-run hotel is the perfect ski-in ski-out accommodation, only 250m from the Schmittenhöhe cable car. The hotel is decorated in a traditional chalet-style; the cosy Alpine atmosphere blends with genuine Austrian hospitality creating a home-from-home feel.

Modern amenities within Gartenhotel Daxer include a newly renovated wellness area. This consists of an indoor pool, two Finnish saunas, a herbal sauna, steam room, infrared cabin, relaxation room and fitness suite. In addition, the hotel boasts an array of exciting evening activities for younger guests, including a lounge area and play area for kids. 

When you make it out the door, the hotel is just a 3-minute walk to the Schmittenhöhebahn and Sonnenalmbahn cable cars, and the TrassXPress gondola. Zell am See itself is around a 25-minute walk downhill, which can also be reached by the local ski bus, which operates until 7 pm. During your stay, Gartenhotel Daxer serves a daily continental buffet breakfast. After a day on the slopes, the hotel serves an array of afternoon snacks and during the evening guests can enjoy an excellent four-course dinner.
