I heard somewhere that snowboarding isn't routinely to kids of under 5, no idea why mind, guess it has something to do with the fact the legs are not independent and it's difficult to learn the wrong way round if you know what I mean (you need to know how to move before you can learn how to stop).
Anyway heres another snowboarding video for you Dave :D

Thanks Tino, I managed 3 minutes, but I did like the couple of guys who appeared thro the tree branches. I did that a couple of times myself, I just didn't plan to!

Same as you do for an image but instead of 'img' put in 'youtube'.
Make sure if it is a related video you have clicked and linked to take the & (and evrything after it) off.

So easy a baby could do it......
Most kids are totally incapable of really riding a board at that age. Normally at least six years old to have any real control, but maybe that will have to be rethought.

Sorry cannot watch a whole 7 min of snowboarding but he's a smart little fellah. If he is only 3 years old, he seems to be well muscled, and a keen balance.
Austrians teach their kids to ski from the age of 2, so I guess why not boarders?

That kids is amazing but if he is 3 then he seems very tall for his age which may help him along a bit.
I know that usually ski schools won't take kids younger than 5 or even 6 for snowboarding. From what I am aware it is because snowboarding takes more strength and coordination than skiing and kids only tend to have this when they are a bit older. Also kids tend to be top heavy which is why they often sit back in thier skis and I would assume this would affect balance on a snowboard but havingnever tried snowboarding I can't comment on this front...
