DIY worked the treat :)
Saalbach here we come :)

I hope early March will still have a good snow

Edit: I apologise for my poor grammar Brucie, but English isn't my first language. Btw, how is your Polish?
If you dont mind, give us a breakdown of the costs in terms of flights, transfers, accommodation (what board), it would be useful for comparison. Let us know when you are going too.

We booked a pension in Saalbach, Austria on the 13 of March. Double en-suit room, half board, close to the slopes, you can ski to the gondola - 716 euros per room (which is £654 , that is £327 per person). I think it's great price considering the location of the pension and it include the meals:)

The flight to Salzburg from Gatwick at the moment is £104. haven't booked it yet. Yesterday it was £90.5. I may wait a bit but the price is still good and I don't want to miss the bargain.

The transfer from Salzburg airport according to the website is 69 euros (£53) return and they take you right to the doorstep.

All together £484 at current exchange.

On top of that the lift pass, winter sports insurance, ski hire + we want 3 days group lessons.

Everything so far £873

That is expensive in my opinion, but rest assured I know it doesnt count for much. :)

I am only kidding, 484 for a week is pretty good and on average is about what I have paid for the last couple of years.

Apart from ADH in January when another J2Skier got a deal with the Lift Pass included.

Well it's less than what the tour operator websites show especially in Saalbach. A lot of places are full already in the date we wanted

Ski Miquell had nice chalet £604 (half board) on the 30th of January or beginning of March.

There was other offers we have considered but we don't want to stay in a room above some noisy bar.

Booked the flight as well. It came up to £213 for two of us return from Gatwick. The times are good. We will be in Saalbach at around 1pm on Saturday. The flight back is at 16.10 local time so we may still have a bit of skiing that day :)

Thats on a par with tour op prices. Best I could find HB was £452 13th March to a 3 star hotel called Eder or another called Jaegerwirt ex LGW with transfers included.
Job done.

Apologies - May I complement you on your command of English. I would suggest it is better than 99% of people who count English as their first language.

You will love Saalbach/Hinterglemm. I have been there many times and the ski-ing and apres-ski are legendary!!!

na zdrowie!!!! :D
