A brand new pair of Leki ski poles will cost no more than 20€ ,most sports shops have poles from about 15€ upwards.Try Intersport if in Austria.

A free pair of poles for kids to slalom through are a whole bunch better than a €20 pair for me to just break. I am in Scotland, also. Poles here are expensive and I have no want for fancy ones.
