Ross whats the date you fly out again??
The course is great fun actually, today i've been doing practice lessons, teaching the other people in my group. i thought id be really nervous doing it but i actually enjoyed it, which i suppose is a good sign!!
Level 1 exams are next weekend 10-13 Jan inclusive, 10th and 11th are the training course by the CSIA and 12th and 13th are the exam days.
Good luck with your exams and everything (whenever they are for you). I will let you know what they are like!

Look at Heathrow as part of your adventure because as you indicate I found it quite the adventure as well. That's a long flight - I bet you will take it easy the first day or two.
You may as well take out dual citizenship after 5 visits and be done with it :!:
Enjoy your stay!!
Mike

Ross,
Do you land at Halifax or is your first stop in Toronto?
Are you leaving from Gatwick or Heathrow?
It is difficult to tell for sure, but are you even a tad excited? If not - you should be really excited.
Will this be your first trip to Canada or are you a seasoned traveller - the season being winter ...
If you don't land in Halifax and are going right on to Toronto or Montreal ... watch out the window when crossing Nova Scotia --- I'll be waving and wishing you a good trip.
Canadians are a friendly lot - well the ones east of Ontario at least :!:  However, the west is where you will find the deep snow.
Don't forget your passport! Have fun, eh?:!: :!:

Ross,
My first trip through Heathrow was in 1994 and I had thought they had landed in Saudi Arabia then in 1997 it looked like the place had been taken over by Iraq.
It was "Minding the Gap" in the subway in London which was an adventure.
The 1997 trip included a visit to Belfast where one Saturday morning we were treated to a lovely Orangeman's parade. I missed the trip our travelling companions made in 2001 to the UK but they made a visit to Edinburgh and the tattoo.
Travelling can open our minds to just how small a world we live in!
I wish my trips were to ski hills now that I've found that part of life.
You are well aware of how cold it can get here Ross so bring warm clothing and pick up some of those chemical hand warmers at the Dollar Stores. As I write this, Nova Scotia is going through a -15C spot of weather but next week is supposed to stay around +8 :!: Banff should be colder.
I for one will be watching for your reports on how your time is going. God bless the internet :!:
Mike :-)
