Hi all,
GF is out in Italy for the week and turns out the boots she bought last year dont fit! Total nightmare-guy out here measured her a 23.5 and the boots are a 25.5-wont mention who fitted them in the UK!
So basically her footbed doesnt fit either and cant be cut to fit her hire boots.
They have genuinely been used for a day in her own old boots and not since then.
They are the Supermax Powerpacks and Volcano insoles, both by Therm-ic, purchased in Ellis Brigham, Glasgow.
They cost £150 together and have caused a great deal of stress and hassle so far this week so shed like to get as much as possible back for them.
The boots are going to go on ebay when she gets back to the UK-Lange Exclusive 90. Again been used for a day in Scotland, once at Xscape and a day here. Size 25.5. Would ideally like around £120 (ono) for them.
I will get some pictures of boots up here later today when we get back from skiing but got to hit the slopes!
PM me with any offers for either or both.
Thanks
Ross

Sorry not interested in the boots, but thought you said you weren't going to mention who fitted them, you did, Ellis Brigham.

Bit of a theme with them, I got mine at their Milton Keynes store and ended up with a pair of 26.5 when the first pair they fitted me with was 27.5, too big!!!

If I was her I would take the boots right back to where I got them and demand new boots or my money back. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with fitting and selling boots two sizes too big.

yeah thought of that but suppose he might just say that you said they fitted and were comfortable and bought them?!

Well,
As long as her feet haven't changed size since she bought the boots :D and the boots are the wrong size now, I would say that the vendors haven't got a leg (or boot) to stand on. They are supposed to be the experts, not the customer. I agree with Snowbandit - go back to the shop and complain.

Has she still got the invoice?

Ally

AHHH, I see just the way I read it!!

If she had got the boots from Ellis B. then she would have been able to changethem at no charge I have, twice, so I am sure other retailers should do the same if they are offering a professional boot fitting service, sorry forget the professional.

Worth a try.

Hi, if they were purchased from snow and rock they have a comfort guarantee and will change boots minus the comfort guarantee credit which is in the brochure, but reading terms and conditions it states the time scales ie you had to buy them between sept 09 to April 10 to qualify so looks like eBay good look
