So we normally go on a package holiday where this is all arranged for us, but now I've found what looks like a good deal on flights and accommodation I'm thinking that I might get a better deal booking equipment hire, lift passes and tuition seperately rather than through the TO. Any tips on doing this or ideally any links? I'm looking at Soll in first week of February.

You'll get 20% off the walk-in price on Ski Hire through our partners SkiSet - http://www.skiset.co.uk/j2ski/ - and there are tips on picking the right skis on our Soll Ski Hire page.
For tuition, there was a recent thread on Selecting a Ski Instructor which discussed just that; best if you can find a personal recommendation.
I'd recommend private lessons for a couple of hours each day for maximum progress but group lessons if you're really pushed on budget and/or enjoy the social aspect of learning together.
