Although I would put a lot of trust in my instructor, I still think I would know my own capabilities and if it did not feel right to me I would'nt do it. But its so difficult to say until you are in that position.

This seems like a good time to announce I picked up a job teaching skiing at Glenshee this year, sent away my disclosure form today,

I like the bit about the instructor had a moment of inattention.
If you have ever been unlucky enough to experience a French Ski Instructor you will know they very rarely pay any attention.
Stick with a Basi Instructor every time.
