Hi,
Looking for the above - ie shinnies and forearm/elbow protection. For the latter contemplating the 'base layer tops' with fitted protection on the arms.
If anyone has above for sale please reply, else interested in hearing views on best product/places to buy from - both for performance and price. Online or ovedr counter.
Many thanks.

Trencher - slalom racing.
Though shinnies, pole guards and racing gloves provide protection to the areas direct in line, they are starting to pick up injuries in unprotected areas - eg forearms, elbows and shoulders - either from the poles or crashing.

I know I might invest in a back protector this season. I had a GS pole spring back last season. It hit so hard, I thought it must have broken my shoulder blade or at least a rib or two. Luckily just bruises.
I have some Skeletools elbow pads that I wear sometimes for racing because they extend down the forearm. Not sure if Skeletools are sold in the UK

In fact I picked up the full set of Skeletools protectors some time back when I was going to enter a boarder cross race at my local hill. As it happened, the race was cancelled, but I do want to try BX sometime befor I get too old
