Mate, always take goggles and shades with you on a day on the slopes. I used to wear sunglasses all the time, but got annoyed with them steaming up or lack of visibility in flat light.
There is another thread on this board on the subject of what peoples preferences are.

Personally i only ever wear goggles, because they prevent your eyes from watering at speed. But thats just down to personal preference.
Tony H hit it spot on, take both with you and wear whichever you feel like wearing. Obviously if its snowy goggles are advisable!!
Havent skied Banff, yet, but from what everyone else says, head to Sunshine. gets the most snow, its the main area and got the best terrain.

Hi Daz,
Jasper was amazing, snow conditions were fab (powder in places), and they just had a few good dumps of snow. Don't know about Bamff, but Jasper very chilled out and the people really friendly. Be prepared for a 40 minute bus journey everyday to get to the mountain, and the buses arn't frequent enough really....but thats my only gripe. Fab boarding hol. Take glasses and goggles. Just in case, but I wore goggles the whole fourtnight, if it snows you'll need them. Went to Andorra last year and loved it but it's not in the same league. In Jasper somedays it felt like you were the only ones on the slope. It gets busy on the weekends with the locals, but you were still never queing. Night life good as well, as long as you know where to go. Just ask the locals.
Hope this has been of some use...give me a shout if you want to know anything else...
