Hi,
Looking for recommendations for long johns and gloves that really work in temperatures from -10 and colder?
Thanks

Icebreaker Thermals, expensive but darn good.

Hestra Alpine Pro Leather Heli Gloves for warmth. If you get really cold hands, Hestra also do a 3 finger glove, sort of halfway to a mitt.

The best long john materials I've found are wool blends and micro-fleece (a little heavier). Combine a pair of each of these with some fleece pants and you have a versatile set up.

Today I was wearing all three under uninsulated ski pants for -25C plus wind.

Peter Storm, Millets. Worked down to -23 3 years ago in Austria. My bits were kept toasty all day long :-o
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

I've always used a pair of Ron Hill running/cycling bottoms that I had before I started skiing. Never had a problem with them. Even when it's warm they're useful to stop the salopetes feeling clammy on the inside.

My top tip is to get three quater length ones as if they go into your boots you can get blisters on your legs.

Roll them up to the top of your boots. Never put them inside.

Not so easy when they're tight and you have quite big calves
