Hello we are 2 couples looking for (cheapish) accommodation near geneva from 3-10 march (mon - mon), will consider any resort. We were planning on chamonix but it seems rather difficult to find availability and flexibility as most places run sat - sat and are mostly already booked.
Can anybody help
A bit of a longshot....

Oh yeah, proper French village with a friendly vibe, coupla good patisseries (sticky cakes after skiing - top) and some good restos down in the village centre (good pizza right in the main square I think).
With good snow it's a fun ski area and you can get across into the bigger Flaine bowl easily enough (the linking runs can be very busy at peak times but no real problem).
Whereabouts are you staying? If in the upper part of the village you'll be close to the bottom of the home runs which is always nice.

Try looking on:
skideals.co.uk
bookableski.co.uk
neilson
inghams
directski.com
I would also try looking away from the main resorts, places like Chatel or maybe even Les Gets might be worth a shout.
I cant really help specifically with accommodation, but some of those might be useful.

Hi - try Off Piste Madness. www.offpistemadness.com.
They are in Morzine. Do an excellent deal for flexible accommodation / food / transfers etc etc.

If you like traditional French villages then you'll love Les Carroz. Going 9th March for the 2nd year running. Great little bars, restaurants and very friendly people. If we managed to fall in love with it last year with rubbish snow then it should be fantastic with proper snow coverage. It's really easy to ski over to Flaine too providing the wind isn't strong enough to render the lifts closed. They also have very frequent free ski buses that go from the bottom of the telecabine to all the surrounding areas in case you're not right in the centre (check the destinations though, don't do an hour long tour of the area like we did!).
Don't know whether you are hiring your gear or not but if you are it would be worth looking at booking online with Skilimanjaro (in the centre of the village) as we managed to get huge discounts (25% off 8 sets of skis) and last year they provided excellent service (no I don't work for them!).
Have a great time! I can almost taste my first tartiflette and vin chaud ;)
