Just started to look at booking my second trip for Feb. I booked the first one almost a year ago and got a very good price.
However, I'm mainly looking in France, but everything I look at seems much more expensive than previous years! Is this because half-term is early this year. Even the lower standard accommodation is 700 - 800 for a week!
A week in North America is now looking cheap compared to this, even though it will be room only...
Anyone think Ski Holidays are more expensive this year!

just booked serre chevalier full board with drinks 329 with inghams 2nd feb so no.

Half board, Passo Tonale, 50% in apres ski Bar, learn to board package, all flights/transfers etc £500 - Thomson
Half term is almost double every year though. My price is for 8 march - low (ish) season

la plagne £450 includes full board, ski hire, lift pass and 12 hours tuition.

Looking at the prices for the big resorts i.e. Val d'Isere, Tignes, Chourchevel, etc it does seem to me that prices are up.

I have 2 points to make:
1. You may not be looking in the right places to get the best prices.
2. Avoid half term. Its a total rip off.
cue the arguement about taking kids out of school during term time......

I think prices are getting higher every year, but there are some cheaper choices. Last year I went skiing in France with my son and we stayed in hostels and we went by car. Very cheap, good for us.

Fairly new to skiing 3 seasons one in France two in Austria (westendorf).This year USA Mount Attitash with exchange rate it is the same price as Westendorf,but this year 7days skiing 3 nights Boston (shopping).Booked all direct. We can not wait!
