Then what about any local youth groups like the scouts,A small donation to someone like them could be much cheaper than hiring a digger,Although i would be tempted to have a go on a digger.

Went to Diggerland once - had a great laugh digging holes and filling them back in again. I reckon a job as a JCB operator might be fun - although I reckon the novelty probably wears off.

Nothing as I tore my Anterior Cruciate Ligament in my right Knee in St Anton in April.........Not fun at all
The only thing I can do at the moment is golf.

Anyone had this injury and can you ski properly now???

Enjoy the summer.

Gar.
When in doubt?....Flat out.

Hi Gareth,

I did the same in 1983. The knee was immobilised for six weeks. After nine weeks I was back on the squash courts and I have ski-ed every year since. Now that I am retired I am able to ski for two months each year. Fingers crossed- so far so good. Of course we are all different and I may just have been very lucky. Anyway good fortune with your recovery and future skiing.

Gareth, I would agree with Geoff in that everyone's different. I've heard of a few people who can ski or do other sports without their acl. Unfortunately, it's not always the case. A lady in the knee physio class that I go to has been trying to avoid the op but, after 5 months of hard work, she has given in and decided that she has to have it if she ever wants to play netball or swim breaststroke to the best of her ability again!
