My advice, if you just cannot take your eyes off the weather and snow forecasts. Make a link to the web cams in Les Arcs so you can collect your own daily updates.

I shall start my normal updates when I get back their in a while. Hope you all had a nice day in the sun today where ever you are.
I have also seen on the Les Arcs site that the discounted passes are on sale until 15 November. Not sure if this is correct or just something they have not changed on the web page from last year. If this information is incorrect I shall post again tomorrow after I have checked. So if you have not yet bought your lift pass for your holiday in Les Arcs or the Paradiski area. Go to this link. BUT hurry. New final date is 15 November 2014 for discounts.

Hope this helps with your planning.

Here are photos of the ski stations. Pity they still do not have the webcams in Arc 1950 or anything in Arc 2000 working. But at least the Arpette Ridge webcam is on. Good to see snow down in Arc 1600 and completely covering the Arc 2000 bowl. Let us hope it stays cold and starts to form a base. Snow line is at about 1300m.

(Looking across to the new development above Edenarc in Arc 1800.)

(Here is the next one. Arc 1600.)

(From the Arpette ridge looking down at Arc 1950 and Arc 2000.)

(Finally looking across to Peisey Vallandry and Arc 1800 from Vanoise Express.)
Ski a la Carte: I have always bought a 'Ski a la Carte' card since they first started. Really useful if you also want to visit other ski areas like Espace Killy or further away and want a daily discount. I always manage to cover the cost of the card and get some added discount so worth the price I pay. If anyone only wants to pay for the days they ski, it is a good idea and cheaper than the normal weekly pass if you have a day off. Plus you only pay for where you ski ie. Les Arcs side. But if you go to La Plagne for a day the extra cost is just added for that day. No need to get another pass as it works on both sides of the Vanoise Express. You need to go to the link and read all the details. It is in English. Easy to follow. If you also get passes for Under 18 year olds they are free, but the daily rate is a flat charge with NO children's discount so you need to do the maths. You might need to call them to find out what it will really cost you each time you ski with the kids. This year there is a discount every 5 days after the ninth day (pay only 1 Euro). I still recommend you read all the details online.

Hope that all helps.

It gives you one day on the La Plagne side. Best if you are an intermediate skier or above to get the most out of the day.

Also Arc 1950 and Arc 2000 over in the other valley. They all meet your needs.
Arc 1600 more French, but still good. You can fly to either airports not much in it, but Chambery can have weather problems I am told. There is the direct Euro Star train from London to Bourg then a quick transfer up the Funicular and a bus round to where you stay. Very easy. Hope that helps.
