Hi Snowbandit,
Thanks for the update, and sorry to hear you missed the first one of your interviews. Why didn't the others hire stuff and ski while they were waiting for their luggage to turn up?
As for the current UK weather, we are in the forefront of the weather pattern you are worrying about, here in the extreme part of south west Wales. They predicted gales for us, with winds gusting up to 60 mph, and heavy snow. So I packed my younger daughter off on Sunday to stay with friends in town, so that she'd be there ready for this week's AS exams.
I have been keeping a very close eye on the Met office weather warnings. They have downgraded our part of Wales from heavy snow to rain now (so I've fetched my poor refugee daughter back from town), but we must be right on the edge, because looking out of the window now it's just started and it looks like a mixture of snow and rain, but it's not settling. But over the hills I would think it is heavy snow.
I should think the situation in somerset is something similar, with rain over the coast and snow over the hills. Is the interview near the coast or the hills?

I'm going to Perth on Saturday to see about getting me some new ones!
Snowbandit,
I think that's a very sensible decision. There are several main roads here shut now because of the new snow and drifting of the old snow(even to tractors and 4X4's), and they are saying that anywhere here over 200 metres is likely to be hit by heavy snow and blizzards all night until tomorrow morning. Driving to Somerset at the moment doesn't seem to be a very good idea!
And I expect you could do with a good rest :D
Take care :D

Group Hug for Snowb4ndit! But easy on the sympathy as you did get 3 Bluebird days by the sounds of it...
Diversions due to weather is one thing, but leaving everyone's luggage in London requires that someone be shot I think. I'd better beef up the adult word filter for Tony's return!
Fingers crossed the school see sense; daft to not allow for the current travel situation.

Doesn't sound like things went your way.
You should probably drive for the second round of interviews, at least you will have given yourself the chance

Pablo, I think that we were lucky compered to many. We had three fabulous days there and the mess up is slightly easier to cope with as it's not our main holiday, we've still got that to come.
Ally, As for my 2nd interview...I've decided not to go tomorrow, there are lots of other jobs advertised for that area at the moment so I think I'll take a bit more time and start again. They all start in September anyway so no time lost.
Bandit, the boots are still good, in fact better than good.
Admin, thank you for your sympathy all be it very brief...I am feeling much better now!

snowb4ndit, I think you deserve another holiday after all the stress you've had :D ) I hope the powder conditions made up for being pushed from pillar to post.
Joining in the group hug heading your way 8)
I'm being sympathetic, whilst being ever so slightly envious that you have been on two skiing trips whilst I am still packing
I'm glad the boots are 8) :D
