Since the course has ended and participates who officially enrolled will soon receive their "diplomas" via snail mail ( if you sent me your addresses), I am opening up this section for all to send specific questions in regards to ski tuning.

Next ski year I am planning to expand this section to deal with;

1. Binding design and tune up

2. Vibration plate design and tune up

3. Boot design and tune up

I hope to present every once in a while sites that have great "instructional" merit.

If new tools come on market, I will also introduce them.

I would like to thank all the skiers that sent me messages concerning your "special" problems. I hope I was able to help you.

I would like also to publicly thanks the staff of this site for allowing me to share my knowledge with you and also to control the "spam" problems and to maintain the level of respect for each other. Rare are the sites that have mutual respect of divergent opinions and that do not degenerate to vulgarity. Thank you all!

Remember your skis are your "platforms" for reaching emotional levels of pleasure that will last you a life time. Take care of them, and they will reward you with "natural highs" you have never thought possible"

I will be waiting for your questions.

Bonjour mes amis,
Pavel

As an occasional divergent opinion, Thanks Pavelski for your great input. I learn a lot from this site. Looking foreward to your ideas on vibration damping plates.

Hi Pavelski,

Me too I would like to thank you very very much for these classes!! They were easy to comprehend, and I can not imagine the amount of effort you must have put into this.

But most impressive of all: I prepared my new skis just like you teached us and they go like stink! I was so happy... Ice like concrete in early mornings has never before been such an intense experience, such pleasure!!

I have plenty of questions about the ski base and wax after skiing them...

Au revoir !
Dino

You are like a butterfly hovering around a flower, smelling the nectar yet not sure if it is real Elistine.

I sense that you have been introduced to skiing, but slowly discovering it is more than sliding down a hill.

Yes you will learn all about DIN,, VAS, radius, side cut, World Cup, bevel edges, structures and many other fascinating trivia about skiing.

Soon very soon you will be the one that skiers will refer to since you will be the ski guru in your area!

Enjoy the seduction,
Pavel

Can't Wait!

Yes you're right. I am the new boy amongst my small circle of skiing friends. I'm also the most obsessed with skiing - the only one who could recognise most of the top World Cup Skiiers, the only one who ownes their own skis but unfortunately also the only one yet to have ventured down a black run.

Once I have the black run out the way then they'll be eating my um, snow?

Pavel, as I only discovered this website recently (while searching for info on tuning skis) it was too late for me to enrol for your last course.

I did however find all the posts so very informative. I got some old skis and practiced as advised, before working on my B2?s and the wifes Streetracers. What a difference it made, great grip on ice and terrific glide. It really added to our enjoyment of La Plagne.

Thanks for all the useful info and I?m looking forward to the next course.

Richard

PS is there any way for us non-course members to get hold of the course dvd you spoke of?

Richard,

I am just now working on the Rossignol tuning DVD and several persons have asked me for this DVD.

The problem is that this DVD is centered on racing tune ups and may "create" some problems to unaware tuners.

Also I have sent "products" such as free plates, bindings, etc... to various persons and they have not yet paid me for the postage. Seems I am too niave and expect people to honor their promises.

If you can suggest a way for people to get DVD and for me NOT to pay out of my pocket for all "shipement" I will try it.
I am not in business and do not want skiers to feel that I am "selling" them a product.

All I am "selling" is the beauty of ski!
