Have a pair of fischer ranger 12 boots and love them. Had them 2 seasons and quite a few skiing days. Yesderday i felt like i had exessive flex in one boot and sure enough the upper portion near to the buckles has cracked. Do ya reckon its fair wear and tear or should i be kicking off at fischer about it.

Never heard of someone breaking the actual shell of their boot - perhaps they will send you a replacement out of embarrassment.

The boot is made of plastic. The changes in temperatures combined with decline of flexibility as it gets older, finally ends with the above result. Happened to me too. Since, I prefer to hire rather than to buy

After 2 seasons no way a boot should be breaking. Yes they get soft, buckle might break but definitely something wrong if breaking on 2nd season.

What Ranchero said. Shouldn't break that easily
