solo boarder to go where?

hi all-
i am an intermediate boarder, and i'm traveling by myself to france in a few weeks to hit the slopes. i'm flying into lyon- any recommendations for where to go? i've never done the french alps before, and it's under strange circumstances that i'll be here alone, so any help is appreciated! oh btw, i can go anywhere but les trois vallees....
