Hi all,
My wife and I will be skiing between 5-10 January in Chamonix, France. We are keen to get a private guide, but the cost is quite high. For groups up to 4 people the price seems to be €300-350. Are there any couples out there that are looking to do the same and would be happy to split the cost of the private guide? Our preference is probably to ski the Vallee Blanche towards the end of our stay (towards the 10th), but we are happy to do it closer to the start if others are keen.
My wife and I are friendly - we're both 27, living in Australia. My wife is a very good skier - I'm not quite as good, but I can keep up Smile

Ilan - if you don't have any luck beforehand, definitely worth getting in touch with the Guides anyway; they may well be able to match you up with other couples and singles they have booked in. The Chamonix Tourist Office are a helpful bunch and may be able to assist too.

You could join one of the groups organised by the Compagnie des Guides for €82 p.p. if you have the unlimited skipass http://www.chamonix-guides.eu/Produit/20/Categorie/12/17-winter-activities.htm
Try to avoid doing it on a Friday as lots of people like to finish the week with a trip down the VB.
