I'm planning a trip to a ski resort soon, just one, in either Quebec or Alberta or BC. Which do you folks think offers better skiing when comparing the two sides of Canada? I have skied Alberta and B.C. before, but I have never been to Quebec. This makes me want to try out a ski resort in Quebec because it will give me an opportunity to see a province that's new to me, but my priority here is top notch skiing.
What are your reasons for your preferences? For comparisons, I'm thinking about snow, terrain, ice, scenery, and weather. I'm not so much concerned about nightlife, food, lodging, and non-skiing activities; I'm just looking to ski-bum-it in a hostel and shred hard for 3 to 4 full days. Price isn't a factor.
To give you some information about me that could help you help me, I'm from Manitoba and I would consider myself an intermediate skier. I have skied Sunshine Village, Lake Louis, and Big White in B.C. I like to ski through trees, groomers, and powder. I don't do park, moguls, or back-country. I'm a 22 year old male.
Are there any particular ski resorts you could recommend me?
Thank-you.

Lots to chose from in BC. Whistler, Sun Peaks, Fernie, Kicking horse, Panorama, revelstoke - Silver Star etc
In alberta - Sunshine for intermediates, Lake Louise for experts
You could start off in Fernie, go to kimberly or panorama, then on to Kicking Horse, Revelstoke then back to Louise & Sunshine. Ski a day at each and then travel to the next resort - only an couple of hours travel each evening.
Los of great skiing and you can shift a little depending on the snow
If you want to experience a different culture etc, head to QUEBEC. Skiing will be decent but nthing like the west.

I prefer these resorts to Sunshine etc.. They are really quiet though so nightlife isn't up to much but it means no lift q and feeling like you have the entire mountain to yourself!

GO WEST. That small area on the boarder of Alberta and BC has lots to offer. Kicking Horse = Amazing, but expensive overall. RED, - epic on powder days, Revelstoke is King, having more vertical feet than WHISTLER!
Don't even think about skiing ice chunks in Quebec - they breed good skiers, but then they all FLOCK to the west :)

Coming from Europe the western ski resorts are your best choices.
Quebec resorts are;
too small
too crowded
Dangerous since many skiers and short slopes.
Go west.
