Hi all
First time to VDI in January, looking for some good restaurant suggestions for the lodge staff's night off.
Not fussed about any particular cuisine, probably prefer more casual than fancy-schmancy, so any suggestions?
I do like going somewhere new, but it's always nice to go back to somewhere you know and revisit one of your favourites!!

Skiworld's Ski Lodge? If so you'll love it, stayed there last December.
Loads a great places to eat in the town, depends what you want.
La Cassorole for superb French meal, not expensive either.
The Sports Bar for a great pizza, or Quicksilver for a burger.

Sadly I'm not one for remembering names of anything, whether that be runs or restaurants. There's some nice looking places on the high street.
Are you looking for anything in particular?

Like Ally, I have trouble remembering the names. However, there was a pretty decent place at the side of the nursery slopes, very traditional looking building. We had lunch in there a couple of times and it was excellent, it would be a good visit in the evening. If you face Solaise from Val, I am pretty sure it is the last restaurant on the right beside the nursery area. It has a large outside seating area for lunch.
To be honest, I don't think we had a bad meal in the entire week in VDI, so you can pretty much take your pick.
When are you going, I should be passing through Val in January (from the 13th for a week) so if I remember I will look it up and try to post the name for you.

reply to 'Val D'Isere restaurant suggestions' posted Oct-2012There's a nice place opposite the Saloon bar, possibly where FQ is talking about. No idea of the name, sorry.
