The above sorry episode, totally out of character for the group as a norm, was the disparity on return time which varied from 02.00 to 04.30 depending on who was relating the tale.
Mind you doubt any of them could have focussed on a watch whatever the time.......

Well, I'm quite sure my room mate came in at 04-30 because I woke up and looked at the time and told her she'd have to get up for her morning ski lesson in 2 1/2 hours!

I was most impressed that she managed it :)

However, I'm fairly sure she spent the afternoon snoozing on the sofa in the hotel lounge bar ... ;)

If I remember rightly, we had to stagger our visits to that bar, so as not to frighten the natives. I distinctly remember karaoke night on the Thursday but not much of the journey home!
However once again a jolly good ski holiday, thanks to our organiser OA.
I can see my house from here...

Here's a photo! Some of us stuffing ourselves at lunchtime at Le Spot, situated in the middle of the green pistes above Alpe d'Huez. Photo by Oldboarder's son Jack. Benneta is the newcomer sitting on the left. The guy in the middle is Bald-Eagleman.

It's very well hidden, which is why it was generally just us plus a few piste patrollers having lunch there!
It's in the maze of green runs somewhere to the right of the snowpark as you look at the piste map. I'm not entirely sure but I think it might be on the Lac blanc piste.
We just remembered to go left at the top of the DMC and the Jeux lifts as we were coming down from above, follow the signs for the Berger area, and then turn right.
The Italian ski instructor working for the Ski Club of GB, called Didier, told Billip1 where it was on Monday so that we could go there for lunch. It's a brilliant sunbathing spot with marvellous views, good food, and it's cheap. BUT it does have a compostable toilet, so if you're fussy about such things you need to go somewhere else ...
It was a good place to meet up with those having morning ski lessons, and we took our Friday off-piste instructor there for lunch with us.
There's a promotional video about it on Youtube:

Oldboarder's photo of his son Jack, who was easy to recognize with the green mohican feathers on top of his helmet. They've both improved loads in the last couple of years and I went down the Sarenne piste with them, which is exremely long and mogully and they were ahead of me the whole way!

Some more photos. It was our first time to join the group and we really did have a brilliant time! Lovely skiing, great company!
