We've been to L2A three times now, and we've decided to move on elsewhere next year. More for a change of scenery than anything. We've just about skiied/boarded the resort out we feel and whilst it's nice to go back to what you know is familiar, it's also nice to discover new resorts too.
Maybe consider whether you feel it has enough scope for you to try new runs next year. Like you say, nowhere will be cheap at half term! We've booked for Val D'Isere in January next year, very much looking forward to it. |

Ha ha, I wait for the days in september when all the skiwear stores start getting the winter stock in, many a Sunday afternoon wasted wandering and not buying!!

Hooray, very excited, booked this morning - Val D'Isere (after much deliberation and mentally hopping through the whole of the French and Austrian alps!!) in the Skiworls Ski lodge, 5th January - 267 more sleeps.
Too flippin' excited to speak, what on eacrth am I going to do for the next 8 and a half months!!! :lol: |

Complete luck of the draw....we booked a room in a small chalet via one of the major TO's last year, and turned out we were the first booking for that week in question. Price then went up by about £70 or £80 each for the remaining rooms...you just can't second guess holiday prices.

Bottle of water, chocolate for snacks, spare hat/gloves, sometimes packedlunch depending on our plans for the day and lastly wet wipes and tissues - for those awkward moments in mountain loos!!

I've got a runner's backpack, very flat against my back and doesn't leave me hanign from the chairlift!!
