I think it's a good idea to take half or full day off if you're feeling the strain - no sense injuring yourself if you're not 100% one day.

I got one in DW Sports, it's actually a runner's backpack with a 2 litre bladder and enough room for your sarnies and chocolate - £15

No, apparently. Watched James May's Man Lab with the husband last week, can't remember the science bit, but it can't be too cold to snow, so they say. They reminded viewers that it snows in the Arctic regions at minus-whatever...

Maybe not spectacular when compared to some of the other stories, but certainly memorable for me - I've fell many times, but that was the first (and thnkfully only, so far) time someone else wiped me out. Flippin' boarder coming down the piste behind me on his toe edge, onbviously looking where he'd been instead of where he was going, ploughed right into me. Carried me down the slope a little way, me swearing at him all the time. Picked myself up, skiied a bit longer then gave up. back at the apartment, leg very sore - anyway, long story short I had a lumpy, swollen bruise about 6 inches in diamater at the tope of my calf where he'd hit me and the top of my ski boot. Very lucky really, an inch or two higher and I'd have broken/dislocated my knee. Took about 6 weeks for the bruising to go properly - ouch.

I managed to spot me and the husband strolling down the street on the last day of our holiday last March - for some mad reason when we got him, I was reliving the holiday and looking back at the webcams during the week we were there (yes, mad, I know!!), and managed to find us.
