Skiing epiphanies?

You know when you have skied well and when you haven't. When you have have played it to safe and not fallen during the day. When you pushed yourself and so what if you wiped out a couple of times. When you get to the bar the beer is that much sweeter as you were up for the challenge and happy to talk about it over a couple of light ales!!

Whist we are on the subject my mature group of good skiers who like a bit of Apres have over the last 8 years skied Schladming and Soll. Two excellent ski regions. Soll wins the vote for us because of the Apres and proximity to the slopes and Apres from our centrally placed hotel. We are thinking of somewhere else next year which will have the same skiing variety, Apres and simialarly priced. Zell am Zee has been suggested any views or recommendations. We have done Mayrhofen and although the skiing and Apres was great the queues to get up and down the mountain were a huge chore.

Skiing? Apres? We were a group of mature 45-55 year olds who were very good intermediate advanced skiers who have been to the Postwirt in Soll for the last 3 years. We have skied the whole area and its fair to say that for our age we enjoyed our Apres!!! :-) Feel free to PM me any queries.

soll hotel bars

Postwirt has a pleasant main bar by the restaurant which is very QT and relaxed with good service. It has another bar at the other end of the building which is sound proofed and has live music. Quite small but usually buzzes with atmosphere. There are about 4 or 5 good lively bars within 5 minute walk of this hotel!! Funnily enough I will be checking in there Saturday lunchtime.
