It would appear that Andorra already has loads and is expecting alot more snow this week. So if you are a beginner go for it. My tip would be to try and get a couple of lessons under your belt over here first, as there will be loads of beginners starting together and they have to spread them around the lower slopes, and as a result if you are struggling to get the hang of it like my wife did 3 years ago, being put on a 4 man chair lift to go half way was quite daunting!!
Not that it should influence where you go but there will be loads of Brits and Irish in Town, so work hard and play hard but most of all enjoy!!!

Many thanks, really looking forward to it. With your comments on the other thread stating that there is already snow in the village/Town is making me exited like a kid, as this will be potentially my first 'White Xmas'.
We have a mixed bunch when it comes to experience from Very good intermediates to brand new out of the box bar a couple of lessons on the dry slopes.
Any suggestions or recommendations re Mountain restaurants, apres ski bars or anything else will be well recieved.
Do the locals do anything different or tradtional on Xmas Eve?
Tony H, much obliged! Have now looked at webcams, and seen the first snow reports. Cushtie.
There's 3 families arriving on the 19th of December for Xmas. Reading this has put me into the doom and gloom. I am aware the village is very low but I would like to think that there is a good chance of snow higher up!!! Says he with his fingers and toes croosed.

Arriving on the 19th of December with 2 other families and staying for a week at the St Lukas Chalet with Snow Coach. Amoungst our group we have three 16 year olds that hopefully will be having some supervised apres fun with the 'Grown Ups'. Does anyone know if there is problems with the 'youth' being in bars with parents at sensible hours or is it strictly over 18 etc. We are not talking night clubs but just bar/restaurants with a abit of apres ski atmosphere. Also anyone know what its like there 4 Xmas. Skied many times but never before over Xmas, and although nearly 50 getting quite exited about it!! Will Santa be able to find me to drop of my pressies or will I have to make do with beer? Any pointers will be greatfully recieved.

Been there in January for the past 4 years and going again in the New Year. Even in 2007 which was the mildest Winter there for 40 years the pistes were in good nick due to the 600+ snow cannons they have, and the directional facing of the slopes helps preserve what snow they get.
As we keep going it must have something going for it!! Yes you can ski to Town, maybe not as a beginner though.
Lovley town. If your a black run adrenalin junkie or a night clubber and looking for a load of Brits in their 20s then it may not be your resort.
We go as a group and are late 30's to late 40's very good intermediate to advanced skiiers and it keeps us entertained. They opened up one of the those huge 3 storey apres ski taverns at the bottom of the Planai last season and as a result alot of the smaller town apres bars suffered. We intend to try and help the small places out again this January.
