Soll update and news.

Normal party of mature skiers going to the Postwirt in Soll late January. As its our 3rd year on the trot I think its safe to say we love the skiing and we are an experienced group of very good intermediate - advanced skiers and like the Apres just as much. :lol:
Heard today that even Soll as low as it is has 25cm at top and 5 cm at bottom.
Heard further good news that 'Frog on the Tyne' are playing their again this season.

I heard that the people who run the little music bar have fallen out with the hotel and there won't be any music in the Post this year. Apparently it all kicked off at the end of last season. For that reason we're off to Kitz this year instead.

Hope they've patched it up though cos the Post is brilliant.

First Ive heard of that, the bar has been ran by 2 different managers the last 2 seasons. Be suprised if the did stop music as without it would just be just an extention to the non hotel restaurant. Wr really like the The Salvenstadhl pub. Good mix of live music and it made such a difference with the non smoking mostly being adhered to in bars, and thats from a smoker.

Never been to Soell or Austria for that matter so not sure what to expect but heading there on the 7th Jan with 4 other lads...

Also heading to Soll end Jan & staying in the Post. Our 7th time in resort, 4th year staying in the Post!!! Hope the music hasn''t sttopped in the bar - thats our favourite evening haunt though I agree Salvanstadle also great.

Conditions are getting better by the day. Slowly slowly catchey monkey. Still got over 4 weeks to get better.

Hmmmm. Looking for a week away 21st Jan 2012, and Soll never been on my radar, although I appreciate the ski of the ski welt area. Might keep an eye on conditions there and consider a late deal. Any recommendations in terms of best village to stay in as I read Soll isnt so easy to get out of in the mornings?
