Just looked at the forecast, another 30 odd cm of snow tomorrow then a week of sun.

Looks like we've hit the jackpot yet again!

Any reason why Alpe D'Huez isn't on your list? If Les Deuz Alpes is then Alpe D'Huez should be too.

Love it! Great footage, loving the powder. Got to put one of those on the wish list, just below a new pair of skis!

Perhaps most importantly, this includes several runs back to base so no tricky, over-crowded resort runs that you tend to encounter in most other resorts. :D

While a few people have mentioned Courcheval, I would have two reservations. Firstly, it tends to be very busy - not something that timid skiers like. Secondly, it is extremely poor value for skiers who will only sample a tiny portion of the resort. In my view, they are better off looking at smaller resorts which will suit their skiing ability and cost them a lot less

ADH gets my vote too. Even in the satellite villages, like Oz en Oisans, you can always get back by lift, so you can travel around the resort and not just be stuck in one place.
Thay way, should you choose to, you can experience the resort without actually having to ski what my better half used to call "a cliff of death".

Alpe D'Huez not picturesque? Not the ugliest either! Plenty for all abilities.

I've done Chambery, Lyon, Innsbruck, Geneva, Grenoble and Turin. All much of a muchness, in none of them are you made to feel like a valued customer.

Still I'm sure our time in Geneva will be a delight next Saturday!
