Not been to Valnord ski area but know that it is a lot smaller than the Grandvalira. I also know that Valnord areas are not all linked unlike Grandvalira, which as I have mentioned in other posts somewhere, has had a lot of money spent on it over recent years and they are still spending.

If I am venturing onto steeper unfamiliar territory, then a fear of the fall line seems to reappear. When this happens I start doing my 'giraffe in powder impressions'. I don't fall, but there is not a lot of gliding going on!

What about your Pirouette on jumps

Yes, I forgot to mention the pirouhettes, but I guess that's because I still need to perfect them!
Thats a bargain!

But I have literally 10 minutes before seeing this bought myself another pair of Oakley Stockholms and a new pair of poles. I only have money for beer left now!

Not been to Arinsal but have been to Pas, Soldeu and El Tarter.

Soldeu is my first choice as it offers good skiing for intermediates and lots of it. The town itself is good for apres and is definitely not a roudy party town, so it is a good place to relax too. There are plenty of restaurants, but I am not really able to comment as we were catered for and the food was great so didn't need to eat out. We did eat out every lunchtime and I had no complaints...I can be quite a fussy eater!

The faster you go,,,tiny "adjustments" are multiplied 10 times !

Just move your nose a few millimeters to the right as you soar,,,,,see what happens!

I agree.

The only time I feel like I have done some work is when I have been walking through deep powder (with skis on) to get to untracked areas.

When I'm skiing on piste I find it effortless - I am told I ski fast!

I didn't even have any muscle aches at the beginning of the season after a seven month break.
Wow...I have so much respect for that man!

Both were rock solid....both have vanished.
I guess the extreme cold has affected the glue and let them go free.
Shame that as i was looking forward to trying them out.

Well it's highly likely you achieved the two different vantage points!
