Does anyone know of a good make of avalanche transceiver to get? Also does anyone have any real experience with them, which models work best in real conditions etc?
Cheers in advance, Rob. |
Hey ed, sounds like we need some links to snow reports. Here's a couple for starters:
http://www.1ski.com/snow/snow.asp Couldn't check this out since it only starts from the end of November, but I had it bookmarked, presumably for a reason. Oh, sorry, but that's the only one of my bookmarks that seems to be working at the moment. Does anyone have any more links? Also, does anyone know where the excellent french snow reports that used to be at skifrance.com have gone? That website now appears to be just a big hotel brochure. One final tip for getting snow reports is good for any Yahoo! subscribers. You can add snow reports to your MyYahoo! personalised page. Just do the following, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3, er, 4, 5,... 6, 789...etc... click on "add/delete pages", select "choose content", then select "choose content from around the world", and in the "Sports" category put a tick against "ski report". Now click on "Finished", which you're not! Once back at your main page, you should see your new snow reports section. Click on the little "edit" button to go and add your favourite resorts. I'll let you handle that bit yourself 8) Cheers for now Robin. |
