50cm of snow forecast in the next 8 days though for Serre Che. Bangin.

I saw those!!! I wanted to get a pair to go with the jacket I 'had to buy' in Les Men, but my OH kept dragging me away from the shop by the scruff of my collar.

I watched it! I've been thinking seriously about relocation (as I'm sure you are aware), and can say confidently now that I won't be considering the wilderness of BC!

I can see you though, Tony, in a check shirt hunting polar bears!

gadgetgirl79 wrote:Where are you getting your OH a new jacket from?? I looked everywhere last week and most shops seem to have removed their ski stock! Think I might buy a new one whilst I'm out in France.

As you may be aware, I had to buy new 'everything' when I went to France over the new year so I am able to tell you now that buying in France is NOT a good idea. It is sooooooooo expensive! If you are minted then ignore this message but if you are not then you would be better off buying a jacket before you go.

you can find a list of UK ski shops here:

Or you can do a google search for shops near to you, they might have started reducing there prices at this time of year too. :D
Saas Fe in March anyone?

toilets on the french slopes

The only 'hole in the floor' toilets that I have come across was in ADH recently. It was the ladies toilets in Les Bergers center. They had full length lockable doors I am happy to report!

Good to have you back Ally and so glad you had a fab time. :D

Sorry to hear about the broken toe! I am a little confused though, because ski boots are so rigid and as you say, as good as a plaster cast, so I don't understand how you could have broken your toe whilst wearing ski boots. Are you sure you weren't on the mushrooms again?!!
