Intermediate on 'expert' skiis

Well have to say disagree. You would not be first person to take skis back (have done before, pair of Rossignol something from Snow and Rock around 1996, skied on them once for 30min and knew they were not for me). Right now you can take back and will lose a small amount based on them being drilled. However shop also has excess 2013 stock they need to shift so you are in decent bargaining position to pick something else out.

Dull ski remains dull. You will lose more money on adding ski bag to next flight and then renting that you will lose by returning ski. Width is not the issue here, just looks a bit boring ski from all reviews, straight line charger (does look very cool though). What were the other options in the shop as realistically you are now committed to buying something from them.

Lengths 154, 162, 170
Tip/Waist/Tail 126-84-112
Not exactly a wide ski but look pretty boring unless you want to straight line groomers.

Perhaps Salomon Rocker 2 90 (399$), would be a better bet? Fun on piste and still wide enough for bit of fun in powder. Even Enduro would work quite well for you.

In general I would go for liveliest ski possible as very few people really require stability at high speed.

Ok I watched it again and few things can pick up on.

As demonstrated by your nice 180, you use very little angulation on your skis. This is actually quite difficult to achieve on such a flat slope unless body position is really strong and over skiis (why do so many 1/2 decent skiers fall on flat slops, leaning inwards).

We keep seeing your downhole pole pop into screen. You have a body rotation issue. A general guide line might be to keep that downhole pole no further than lower arm length infront of hip when traversing.

Your knees come into view at times suggesting you are being forced back at times. This happens to all but certainly something to be aware of.

Basically I would actually look to spend some time on something a bit steeper where can use skis properly. Not easy to ski well on a green slope. You're at level where would really benefit from some lessons again, ½ day private with some drills to follow for remainder of holiday would be a real boost to you.
I was lead to believe that K2 make first fibreglass skis in 1962. Anyway more than happy to glue some shot glasses to it and have some fun. Unless they were used (with evidence)by the great man himself?

All clear given to ski again. Given only 1 ½ days before work am going to give a miss. Basic plan before July is now.
Do PX90 plyometrics and Insanity agility for next 6 weeks.
April 2 weeks vacation of road biking.
6 weeks of pre-season ski fitness.
I guess to be able to ski hard the basic criteria is to be able to hop down stairs (can hop up now). Asked about brace and was informed no point as no evidence of benefit on properly rehabbed athletes. Guess I will revisit that one before July.

Physio tomorrow, exactly 12 months to day after injury, 9 months on Friday since 2nd op. Fully expect to be given green light to ski again :-). Question is then if to do 1 1/2 days skiing or wait another month. Definitely a bit apprehensive about giving another go.

Summer skiing in Cervinia in July is booked.
Too many options, are you a complete beginner?
Chamonix, St Gervais/Megeve etc, Morzine/Les Gets, Les Clusaz (which might be best as has some high altitude blues).
All will do English lessons with ESF.

I should not worry, skiing is a great leveler for mental age. That is why grown men still have to have mental battle each time they see a jump. Am sure he will have a great time no matter what group make up is.
