Well in reality you wonder how many times on February there has been a spontaneous full depth avalanche - probably zero.
Seems to me that those responsible for the piste safety just didn't consider the April conditions. Bet a lot of resorts were re-evaluating slopes after it happened . |

After 2 seasons no way a boot should be breaking. Yes they get soft, buckle might break but definitely something wrong if breaking on 2nd season.

Is March, just over 1/2 way through the season. Current conditions everywhere are reported as fantastic with only some runs into lower towns starting to struggle a bit. Does anyone really enjoy the car track to town?
Look at your worst case scenario in la grave: 1) no powder 2) 10:30 snow softens and you get to ski steep terrain that is never possible otherwise Sounds awful! |

Can you just buy snow chains on the way? Driving from Reus/Barcelona to Andorra

Even if there is no legal requirement be careful of terms like 'reasonable care,
Appropriare use' in your insurance clauses. Anyone driving without winter tyres is really on a tight rope in event of needing to claim. |

Would be far more concerned by the lack of winter tyres which are an essential from safety, insurance and potentially legal point of view. Snow chains are are largely redundant.

Not sure they applied the Italian standard to red 81. Some great skiing though and certainly made it look easy given the nice piste conditions.

Well I think the real problem is the massive over-grading if runs in many resorts. Summer roads which should be greens are now blues etc. Nightmares for people to ski on.
