Frankly, it looks like the entire finish was badly designed.

Nick came over the final jump and passed outside the finish gates pretty much whilst still in the air. He had not even seemed to be in trouble as he approached that final jump, so not really sure how he managed to veer off in the direction he did, but even so, the finish posts and netting seemed far too close to the jump.

My thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends.

Please let his death not go to waste, and hopefully we will see changes to the rules for course setting.
