If the euro fails, and France went back to the franc what would that mean in regards to the pound. Ie would we have better value than what it is now with the euro? I seem to recall yrs ago when Spain was the peseta you got much better value against the £......

Your best bet is cash if you wanted the set rate I find travel ex usually offer the best rates. It's ok paying by card but the risk you take is if it drops for any reason then your rates will fluctuate. But that said depending on what your buying ie a meal out or a day pass etc its hardly going to be noticeable anyway..... |

Why do you have to be an expert to use Spyder gear..... ? Couldn't disagree more. You ski in what you can afford and feel good in. I personally don't like it at all, my choice is Haglofs however I don't think people Look daft in it if they can't ski. Who cares what people think. If you can afford it then cool buy it and enjoy it. You will get there in the end and if you don't well hey at least you look good.... 8) |

Yes brilliant news. Do you think it will rise to what it once was?I seem to remember it once being 1.6 something..... I'm no economist but I'm surE all these problems with Greece and the euro zones etc can only add strength to the pound against the euro......

If I was you I would look on websites offering chalet deals and try book into a chalet that have a few places left. You should get a decent deal, some chalets offer single rooms with no supplements and you will meet new people there who you can possibly ski with.
As for places to go that really depends on what you want from the holiday. A resort like morzine could be a great option, plenty to do, good ski area, short transfer from Genova etc. Whatever you decide have a good 1 |
