Well, womens skis tend to be quite inflexible and rigid and usually very cold first thing in the morning. Oh, and they will get more and more uncomfortable as the day wears on. Whereas mens skis are easy to get along with. Generally. :| |

Some nic pics there fella. Shocked to see some many green bits on the slopes, I thought Soldeu was bad last week!

There was plenty of ice in Soldeu/El Tarter last week. I can handle it fine if I can see it beforehand and can get my edges in on the turn (or perhaps skid to be more accurate) or just ski straight over it. It's the ice which is under 1mm of 'man-made' snow which catches me out...twice I was on my ass (twice, I tell thee) whilst my 7 year old daughter 'floated' over it..

Mate, I've just got back from the Grandvalira area. Saturday was great skiing conditions. Blue skies, sun out, low temps (as low as -17 with the wind chill) and great pistes thanks to 24 hours of constant snow between Thursday eve and Friday eve. Snow making is in full force. If anything, the skiing is a bit too heavy, with all the excess snow still on the pistes. I preferred the hard pack conditions but that's my preference.

Snowing loads in Soldeu right now. Had 2 feet overnight and there's no let up as I type this out. Pistes are in great condition and some good skiing to be done. Visibility is poor and it's flipping cold! Anyone coming out at the weekend should be in for a right good time

One more sleep, kinda. Gotta be out the house for 3am and at Gatwick for 5am. Unfortunately, no slope action until Monday morning. And no chance of sleep on the plane or transfer coach either...'fraid my snoring will get me chucked off either..
