Had Jagertee as an alternative to Gluhwein whilst watching the downhill racing in Wengen last year. That was an interesting trip back to the hotel!

The Vancouver Winter Olympics Games

Ski_maverick wrote:Hi, what were your favourite moments of the winter Olympics?

However I think the most deserved medal was that of Joannie Rochette. The Canadian's bronze medal was one of the most emotional of the Games after she fought back the tears and heartache to compete just two days after the death of her mother, who had just arrived in Vancouver to cheer her on.

It took some real guts to go out there following the loss of her mum. For me, ice skating is not a sport. We don't put ballroom dancing in the summer games so why do we have ice dancing?

Event I enjoyed the most has to be the men's skier cross. Most pleased about Bode Millar burying his Turin demons and as a Brit, Amy Williams winning gold.

If this goes as well as the World Cup bibs did for the Haiti appeal it'll go for a bomb. It's way past my budget already.

I used them for first time last season and I'm really fussy over the effect of lenses with bright sunshine. I easily get headaches from even the slightest of light skies, for example sunlight on wet roads.

I skied all week using the goggles in flat light through to clear blue sunny skies and have no complaints. First few days I carried my sunnies with me just in case but even on the brightest day I was fine.

There already is one. I've got it on my Bolle goggles. They have a Modulator lens that changes from Cat 1 to Cat 2 much like Transitions spectacle lenses.
